体重計が壊れたため、新しいものを買いました。
The weight scale broke and I bought a new one which measures more precisely, using sensors for both arms and legs.
株価も上昇を見せていますが、3カ月国債と10年国債が逆転する逆イールドが生じたため、1年以内の景気後退は100％と推定されています。
Stock prices are increasing, but the yield curve has inverted, where yields decrease with time to maturity from the 3 month to the 10 year treasury.

The division we are in now may move in the organization and report to the company president.

今のDivisionヘッドが全くと言っていいほど仕事ができなく、Divisionを混乱させているのはあきらかです。
It is obvious that the current Division Head is totally incapable of doing his job and is making the Division confused.
人は無能になるまで出世するとはこのことかもしれません。
The Peter Principle says that people are promoted until they reach the level at which they are incompetent.
しかし、彼のお陰でよい待遇でよい会社に入社できたので、ポジティブな面にフォーカスを当てていきたいと思います。
